Itozu no mori park	This zoo has approximately 100 species of animals such as elephants, giraffes and lions, with a total of 500 animals on display. Also visitors can play in an open area or enjoy rides such as a Ferris wheel and merry-go-round. Hot Spring
Ajisai Hot Springs	Ajisai Hot Springs is the core of the conection of recreation facilities called “Kawachi Hot Spring Resort.” Natural springs appears in the Kawachi area (Yahatahigashi Ward). Cultural facilities
Kokura Castle & Kokura Castle Japanese Garden	Kokura Castle was first built in 1602, and then rebuilt in 1959. Inside the castle are exhibits which detail the castle's history. Nagasaki Kaido Koyanose Inn	Nagasaki Kaido part of a major network of roads in the Edo period. Koyanose, which still evokes elegant atmosphere of a post town, was popular with travelers and merchants as a place to spend the night. It became prosperous due to it's location by the highway and near water transportation. The Koyanose Inn has two main attractions, the “Museum of Local History” and the “Koyanose Hall”. Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History	Three museums (the museums of natural history, history, and archaeology) joined to form a new museum of natural history and human history near Space World Station. The floor-space of this new museum is about 6100㎡, making it one of the largest museums in Western Japan. http://www.kmnh.jp/
Kitakyushu City Art Museum	The art museum surrounded by woods suddenly appears after having passed through a narrow path scattered with sculptures. This art museum contains world-famous collections of works by Artists such as Dogas, Rouault, Cezanne, Picasso, but is also putting a great deal of effort into collecting the works of local artists. Also it is known for introducing the first volunteer system in Japan. Volunteers will comment on the works for visitors and are promoting the activity to popularize Art education. http://www.kmma.jp/
Matsumoto Seicho Memorial Museum	This museum commemorates on disgray the great achievements of Matsumoto Seicho, a renowned writer from Kitakyushu.
